I like how the sorting activities help students compare and categorize different insects, which supports early science thinking and vocabulary development. The writing prompts and ELA printables also give students a chance to show what they’ve learned in simple, age-appropriate ways. It works really well for spring science units, centers, or whole-group instruction. Overall, it’s an engaging and well-rounded resource for kindergarten and first grade insect studies!

Examples of relationships could include that deer eat buds and leaves, therefore, they usually live in forested areas; and, grasses need sunlight so they often grow in meadows. Plants, animals, and their surroundings make up a system.
