Description
This is a fun and engaging way for your kiddos to practice comparing numbers by thinking about and guessing numbers that are greater than, or less than other numbers. This set includes 6 mats, 3 with numbers (0-10) and 3 with numbers (0-20), and 5 pairs of adorable insects, including: butterflies, grasshoppers, snails, bees, & lady bugs.
This game is played in pairs with one mat and two insects. Place the insects on each side of the number line. One student will think of a number between 0-10 or 0 --20, depending on which mat you choose to use. The other student will guess the secret number. If the secret number .is 3, and the student guesses 6, the student who thought of the number will move the insect on the right to cover the number 6 to make sure the secret number is between the two insects. He or she will say “my number is less than 6..” If the guesser guesses 1, the student who thought of the secret number will move the insect from the left to cover the 1 and say, “mu number is greater than 1”, and so on, until the number is guessed. They will take turns being the guesser and the person who thinks of the secret number.
