Description
Practice identifying integers, finding absolute value, and finding opposites on 25 REAL LIFE WORD practice problems. Word problems are a variety of one step and multiple step problems. Students can solve these problems on digital task cards created and provided in both Microsoft PowerPoint™ and Google Slides™ or on paper task cards. All problems have moveable pieces and/or text boxes for answers.
Real life scenarios include…
- earning and spending money
- temperature decreases and increases
- elevator
- sea level
- underground
- mountain climbing
- football gain/loss of yards and penalties
- birds & helicopters descending and ascending

- LITTLE TO NO PREP!!: Upload a digital version to your student learning management system or easily print the black & white task cards. Cut apart the task cards or put each paper into an 8.5x11 plastic sheet protector or dry erase sleeve. Provide students with a copy of the answer sheet.
- Easy Grading!!: Use the student answer sheet provided along with the task cards or have the student’s put answers onto the self-grading Google Forms™ activity.
- Stations or Learning Centers: No prep needed! Simply upload or share one version of the task cards to your learning management platform.
- Remediation, Intervention, or Special Education Students: All versions (Google Slides™, Microsoft PowerPoint™, and Google Forms™) can be used with Text to Speech on student devices.
- Independent Student Practice: Use these task cards as an informal assessment of student learning. Provide students with one of the provided versions and an answer sheet.
