Description

These interactive notebook activities are intended to help students understand how to recognize that in a multi-digit number, a digit in one place represents 10 times as much as it represents in the place to its right and 1/10 of what it represents in the place to its left, read and write decimals to the thousandths, and add decimals to hundredths, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value. Included are:

-4 different Adding Decimals activities to engage students

-Teacher facilitated activity for 60-90 minutes of classroom time

-Activities include: Vocabulary, Writing decimals in standard form, word form and expanded form, Modeling adding decimals, and Practice lining up and adding decimals.

-Examples of Completed Interactive Math Notebook Activities are included.

-Answer Keys INCLUDED!
