Teacher Notes:

· This activity can be done with any easy-to-use manipulatives that come in a variety of colors. Depending on class size and type of manipulatives, you may want to change the starting number from 50 to something smaller.

· I use the most common colors: red, yellow, blue, green & orange.

· Students can work individually or in groups.

Materials:

· Legos or colored candy

· Zipper baggies

· Random number selector (online or on graphing calculator)

· Handout
