Description

This is a fun little lesson about weird, wild, and wonderful inventions. Some of the ideas have been borrowed from other inventions lessons I have seen online, but the work is largely mine. There are basically three parts to the class: Famous Inventors, Which Invention is More Important, and Crazy Inventions. For younger classes, it is best to hustle through the first part and get to the more entertaining stuff. I tried to make it as fun as I could, but it still might go over their heads. The second part is a discussion game comparing two inventions that changed the world and trying to decide which one was more important. This is the most interactive part of the lesson, so make it count. The final part is the silly stuff, good for all ages. There are a few examples of funny inventions from Asia, as well as some inventions that look like a whole lot of fun. If you found this lesson useful, be sure to check out some of my others at ESL In Asia. Good luck!

Materials are well thought out and developed. Guides are well written and provide thorough details for instruction and background knowledge. Student materials guide progress and allow for individual differences and abilities.

It is what it is. I ended up creating my own and feel I have wasted money purchasing this. I originally assumed it was a learner resource so perhaps should have carefully selected before purchasing.

In order to be used correctly, the PowerPoint must be in presentation mode. I often use complex transitions that causes it to look like a jumbled mess when not in presentation mode. I hope you will try this and then reconsider this review afterwards. - Bryan
