Description
Here is a great way for your students to learn how to find the inverse of 2 x 2 and 3 x 3 matrices. These FUN Notes are complete notes in a fun format. When students are done with the examples an practice they can show their creative side and embellish them with colors and doodles. They also print great in either black and white or on colored paper.
What topics are included?
- Definitions and notation
- Determining if matrices are inverses of each other
- Finding the inverse of a 2 x 2 matrix
- Finding the inverse of a 3 x 3 matrix using Elementary Row Operations, or Gauss Jordan Method
- Finding the inverse of a 3 x 3 matrix using Minors, Cofactors, and Adjugate (Adjoint)
- A brief review of determinants as needed for the above method
- Finding the inverse of a 3 x 3 matrix using the TI 84 Graphing Calculator
- Extra Practice Problems
- Full Solutions to problems in a teacher's version of the notes.
