Description
If you are looking for a Back to School activity that helps with getting to know your students, this is a fun way to do so. Not only will you find out about your students' interests, you will be able to do some data analysis afterwards with the completed glyphs.
Included in this package is an explanation of what a glyph is, a sample of common glyph symbols, 4 ipad glyph examples, a blank ipad template for creating a personal glyph, lists of the favorite items as well as picture icon sheets to cut out and paste on the ipad template, and a sample list of some questions that can be asked based on the symbols chosen. Some blank boxes have also been included for drawing responses if desired.
The sample questions for classification, counting, and comparison are included at the end.
Canadian spelling pages have been added if you prefer the version that has favourite and colour.
Creating graphs from the data collected can also be an extension from these glyphs.
The students will be able to keep these glyphs and refer back to them later or save them as a keepsake of their interests.
