This free printable is a fantastic resource that sums up how to tackle word problems for your students. Print out the keywords for solving math problems and the steps to solve word problems back-to-back for your students at the beginning of the year (or whenever)! You also get a mini-poster that gives a quick example of each word-problem strategy that you could print for each student or hang on your classroom wall.
Included is a thorough list of keywords that will clue students as to which math operation they should be doing when solving word problems. There is also space for students to add words as they find them! There is also a simple 4-step process to solving any math word problem with an included example that outlines exactly what students should be doing.
