With this lab activity, students will first use the Power Point to start their 'lab write-up'. When the written portion of their lab is complete, they will break into separate groups and use a triple beam balance and cubes of 'unknown' material to calculate their densities.

The Power Point and write-up encourages students to better understand the scientific method and prepare for future grade levels in which writing up a lab is expected.

Required materials: Density Cubes and Triple Beam Balance (both from educational science suppliers)

Science teachers, you will make your own key in that Density Cubes usually come in sets of eight to ten (depending which supplier you buy from). Pick the ones you want your students to measure and calculate.

Includes the Completed Density Triangle to glue/tape in with the lab's results page.
