Description
Recommended for: Grades 3-6.
This escape room can be assigned individually or in groups of 2-4 students.
Activity Time: 30-40 minutes playing time if students do not use calculators.
STORY: Students must work to unlock each of the six puzzles to learn the reason why Americans celebrate Labor Day.
PUZZLE 1: Phone Puzzle. Students will use the phone key to complete 7 subtraction and addition problems to reveal the coded Labor Day message.
PUZZLE 2: Clock Puzzle. Students will use the clock to solve 7 basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division math problems.
PUZZLE 3: Decoder: Students will use the decoder to solve 4 addition and subtraction problems.
PUZZLE 4: Cryptogram. Students will use the key to decode the secret message.
PUZZLE 5: Reading Puzzle. Students will use the word bank to complete the reading puzzle to reveal the secret code.
PUZZLE 6: Math Puzzle. Students will solve the 7 addition, subtraction, and multiplication problems to reveal the secret code.
