**DIGITAL UPDATE 2020: All the short o books in this unit have formatted for digital reading! Landscape PDFs are included as well as links to Google Slides for the readers in this unit. Read how to upload the PDF books to Seesaw here.

Unit 2 includes four short o lessons that last five days each. While there is a 5-day lesson plan for each lesson, there is complete flexibility with using these activities. Some young readers may need to spend even more time on the lessons and that's okay, too! There are plenty of activities included so you can modify it as needed!

A Look at Each Lesson from Unit 2:

Each lesson has 25 or more activities that center around a different short o word family and 2 beginning sight words {from List A/List B}. All activities come in color and black/white! Most of the activities are NO PREP and easy to implement. Only a few basic teaching supplies are really needed to teach with it.

Here are the word families and sight words* included for Short o/Unit 1:

Lesson 1- OP word family / sight words: jump, do {61 pages}

Lesson 2- OG word family / sight words: play, funny {61 pages}

Lesson 3- OT word family / sight words: help, run {63 pages}

Lesson 4- word family review / sight words: one, here / PLUS: sight word review activities & short o extension activities {94 pages}

I love these vowel packets and my learners do too. They have a wide variety of activities that ensure excellent consolidation of the sound, and much conversation is generated around the discussions we have in our group about the meaning and use of some of the words.
