Description

BACK TO SCHOOL FUN! Are you looking for a zoo animal resource? This is a label-the-animal resource with a drawing and writing template for those who choose to use them. It's a great for a follow-up to a zoo trip or as a writing center during your literacy block.

Maybe your students won't be able to go to the zoo due to funding, but this resource might be something they will enjoy anyway. Students will become familiar with labeled diagrams and get writing practice as well as becoming familiar with different animals. This kind of practice will build confidence especially for your English learners. There is a page for students to write about their favorite zoo animal and a page for them to draw their favorite zoo animal.

Upon purchase open the TPT digital activity tool to use this resource with the pages of your choosing for Google Classroom. Simply go to edit pages and remove the ones you wish for any given assignment. If you want to change your selections you can revert back to the original pages and choose again. I like this option a lot!

This was a great resource to use with my students when they were working on their animal unit. It clearly modeled how to label various animals and gave them the confidence to label their own chosen animal as part of their final research project.

Great resource to add to our animal unit. I like that students are able to label while also using cutting skills for fine motor practice. Very easily adapted for my student’s needs.

If you would please email me and give me a simple explanation as to why this resource was not worthy of a five-point rating, I would be grateful. I always try to please buyers. If it's a new animal you would like added, I certainly would try to accommodate.
