Lewis Structure models & chemical structure-Quiz 1: Google Form (Distance Learning)

This form can be used for distance learning, or in your regular classroom.

This form goes along with a set of my game cards called, “24 Game Cards–Covalent/Ionic Bonding: Lewis Structure Models &Chemical Structure," and helps you to know if your students achieved the objectives.

There is one additional Google Form Quiz that goes along with the “24 Game Cards–Covalent/Ionic Bonding: Lewis Structure Models &Chemical Structure.

  • Lewis Structure models & chemical structure-Quiz 2: Google Form (Distance Learning)

I have also uploaded free game boards for your use. I hope that your students enjoy playing my games!

This is a GOOGLE FORM.

This form can be used for distance learning, or in your regular classroom.

Advantages of using this Google form.

  3. is editable and allows you to customize the number of times a student can take it (one or multiple),
  4. allows you to weight your questions differently, for example you can make a question worth zero points, or more than one point, etc.,
  5. you can rewrite questions to make customize them for your students (either more difficult or easier),
  6. requires students to enter their first and last name and asks for student’s class period allowing you to sort your data, and
  7. allows you to download your data to a spreadsheet so you can manipulate your data by student name and/or class period.

Standard covered

Compounds included for investigation: Difluoride, Carbon disulfide, Sodium fluoride, and Barium oxide.

SPS2. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information to explain how atoms bond to form stable compounds

b. Develop and use models to predict formulas for stable, binary ionic compounds based on balance of charges.

Objectives

Given the NAME of the bonded molecules, students will

  1. identify the Lewis Structure models of covalent bonds,
  2. identify the Lewis Structure models of ionic bonds,
  3. identify the chemical structure of covalent bonds,
  4. identify the chemical structure of ionic bonds,
  5. identify the bond structure of covalent bonds, and
  6. Identify the bond structure of ionic bonds.

This quiz has 12 points.
