Description
In this activity, students will sort cards into reflect, refract, transmit, and absorb definitions, diagrams, and examples.
Before class print the cards on card stock, cut them out, and rubber band the sets together. I keep the sets to reuse over and over. I often use this activity as a warm up or review at the beginning of class. I keep several answer keys, so students that finish quickly become expert checkers. With the help of student checkers, this activity can easily be finished in five minutes for the whole group. I also pull these cards out right before our state standardized test. They are a great review for topics we study at the beginning of the year.

My Students really enjoyed this resource and it was super easy to prep!
I liked having these 4 forms of light behavior on a same sort, as there are many others that have reflection/refraction but lack transmission and absorption. Thank you!
Thanks!
These were easy to laminate and use! I loved being able to give my struggling students a sort to complete that included some pictures as well. I loved having this as a resource and may do this as a partner activity next year.
Used for a review for their assessment! Thanks!
great notes/station
Awesome!
