Description
This is a great activity that gets your students identifying linear attributes while having some fun, interacting, and breaking up the normal day-today routine!
This is a collaborative activity - students work together to find correct matches on the mat in the middle of their table.
This activity includes: Identifying/matching graphs, slopes, y-intercepts, zeros, slope-intercept forms, standard forms, and function notations.
There are 42 connections / linear attributes to identify in this activity. Check out the preview to see what all is included and how the activity works!
How it works:
- I printed this mat at my school as a 22 x 22 poster so my students could easily see the questions with the mat in the middle of the table.
- The matching cards are meant to go with a 22 x 22 mat, but you can always change the printing size if you choose to print your mat at a different size.
- The mat has questions all around it making it easy for kids to participate no matter where they are sitting!
- This set up encourages collaboration - the mat is in the center of the table causing students to communicate, collaborate, and help each other!
- See it in action by checking out the cover pictures attached!
You can use this activity to:
- Review identifying linear attributes
- As a warm-up
- Check for understanding
- Supplemental activity
- STAAR Review (this is how I implemented this activity in my classroom)
- The options are endless!
This activity is ready to print and implement in the classroom. For personal use only, multiple licenses must be purchased if sharing with additional educators.
