Description

I believe that it is so important to make learning fun and give learners a chance to move. This figurative language activity is one of my favorite activities ever! It reviews figurative language. (metaphor, allusion, idioms, simile, hyperbole, onomatopoeia, and personification.) Students also get to preview novels! It makes learning fun, engaging, kinesthetic, and relevant.

Save yourself a bunch of time and purchase this activity today!

If you need to review theme, I also have a theme question trail for upper middle school and high school learners!

I love question trails and my students do, too. I allow them to work together in pairs and go through the loop. It's amazing to see them work backwards to figure out what they missed and why the answer is correct.

I cannot say enough about this resource. My students worked so hard on this. I partnered them up with mixed abilities and the students worked so hard to solve each question. They kept asking questions of each other and their understanding of figurative language definitely grew! I am going to use this activity again at the end of the unit to see how much easier the task becomes for them.
