Description

This is an Inferring practice activity using an inferring chart graphic organizer and an online read-aloud.


Great for:

  • Distance Learning
  • Literacy Centres/Stations
  • Technology Use for social distancing in the classroom avoiding the collection of papers

This will compliment your Language Arts unit, as it is an introductory lesson to inferring.  This activity focuses on combining reading the pictures and the words to find text clues.  

       The first page provides an explanation, along with a visual inferring equation of the components of an inference.  It also provides guiding questions students can ask themselves to infer different aspects of a text.  The second page provides a link to a read aloud where students can follow along and listen to the text being read and then fill in the inferring chart with their inference.
