Description

Struggling to explain the difference between mass and weight? This activity will drive that difference home for kids with two activities. First, students read about the difference between mass and weight, citing information from the text and defining the terms as they go. Following the close read, students will participate in an interactive exploration of how mass and weight are impacted by traveling to different planets! This is a great lesson to explain a tough-to-grasp concept. I like to end it by awarding students "astronaut badges" to certify that they understand!

My students were struggling with the difference between mass and weight. I found this product and was able to create a mini lesson out of it during our space unit. It definitely assisted in helping the students understand!
