1) Build the design, trace the word and count out the number of each color used.

2) Build the design using a more challenging empty template, trace the word and count the number of each color used.

3) Build the design with their own colors (B&W building mat), trace the word and count out the total number of cubes used. You could also use this b&w version as a worksheet and have students color in the picture if you don't have math cubes in your classroom.

Use them full-page sized in your math centers or print 4 to a page to prepare them as task cards for your STEM bins. Young learners will LOVE using these building mats - perfect for early finishers, small groups and independent learning!
