Tom the Tabling Turtle is a strategy animal in the Problem-Solving Pond series. Tom teaches students to make a table to solve a word problem. The table strategy helps students write information in an organized format, allowing them to easily identify number patterns and relationships.

Tom uses a special rhyming poem to teach the students how to use the table strategy to solve a variety of story or word problems. Tom's unit includes:
