Description

This is a super FUN way to introduce your students to the basics of coding!

This Coding Cars activity is best done on Google Slides where students can move objects and create an algorithm to "program the cars". After they create their code, they can watch the animated videos to see the cars move on the road and check their answer! (built right into the slides).

It can also be done unplugged (without a computer) using the pdf worksheets.

Skills practiced: sequencing, analytic thinking, problem solving, linear thinking.

This is a great activity to incorporate the NEW Ontario Math Curriculum which includes coding beginning in Grade 1.

The activity includes 2 interactive coding puzzles and 1 debug the code puzzle where students find the error in a code given.

*Includes Pdf Printable worksheets and Interactive Google Slides version *

This activity is suitable for students in grades 1-3.
