Word problems are one of the hardest concepts for students to grasp. Last year, I created a "But first, let me take a selfie" anchor chart to display in my classroom to help students remember how to work through word problems. It also reminded students to look for errors, persevere, and use math vocabulary.
This resource includes headers and and labels for S.E.L.F.I.E.
For larger spaces, there is a 2 page poster with larger circles and word strips. For smaller spaces, there are horizontal or vertical poster options, smaller circles, and word strips.
