Description

Blank Stares... this describes my students every time they were faced with a tricky math word problem.

It wasn't until I implemented the Word Problem Protocol that their mindset shifted from "I can't" to "I know how I can try!" as it related to math word problems.

Protocols are beneficial classroom management tools because they develop consistency, predictability, and autonomy. ✨

They can also help decrease any math-related anxiety your students may be facing when they face a tricky math problem.

When students know how to approach complex problems and have access to supportive visual reference tools, they are more likely to take learning risks and feel confident doing so! ✨

What's included? This resource comes with...

  • 5 poster options: choose the poster with all 4 protocol steps on the same page, or choose to have each step as its own mini poster.
  • Different background color versions

The Word Problem Protocol poster can be printed, laminated, and displayed on your math bulletin board year round ⏰ as a resource for your students as they work through word problems in each of their math units of study.

Show on your interactive board when students are working on word problems in math class!

Or, print out copies for student math folders!

View the preview for color background variations!
