Description

This measurement math center is perfect for practicing measuring to the nearest inch. Students use a rule to measure different sized inchworms and record their sizes. There is a line underneath each inchworm that can help students measure the objects more accurately.

These task cards are available digitally through Google Slides™ and are also printable as well. They are spring themed and no prep-- just print the cards or assign digitally to use as a math center!

Please note that these task cards were created to be printed in an 8.5 x 11 inch format. The answer key will vary if printed in different dimensions (but task cards can still be used!)

CCSS Alignment:

  • 2.MD.A.1 Measure the length of an object by selecting and using appropriate tools such as rulers, yardsticks, meter sticks, and measuring tapes

Included in this Resource:

  • Digital task cards for Google Slides™ (students may complete digital task cards ON Google™ or using the recording page).
  • Recording page and answer key

Use these task cards in your classroom:

  • Distance Learning: Assigning this resource to be used remotely has never been easier! If students have access to their Google accounts at home, they can use this resource with the family or as extra practice at home.
  • Independent Practice: allow students to use these task cards independently during their math block or morning work! They can solve problems on their own or work together with a partner. Each set includes an answer key, allowing students to self assess.
  • Write the Room: Hang these task cards around your classroom and allow students to travel and solve each problem on their answer keys.
  • Small Groups: Do you have students who could use a review? Use these task cards in your small groups when reviewing skills that students misunderstood. They are EASY for any guests who run small groups to use as well (parent volunteers and paraprofessionals will find using these to be a breeze!)
