Measuring with a Ruler Task Cards

Help your students master measuring with a ruler to the nearest half inch and quarter inch with these engaging task cards! After finding all the ruler measurements, students will split their data into 4 groups and complete 4 separate line plots. The horizontal scales are marked off for them so they simply need to plot their measurement data. Then they will answer 4 challenging questions that go along with each line plot. If your students are not ready for line plots yet, the task cards can function independently without the line plot activity. There is a duplicate set of rulers in black and white to save your ink!

These task cards are aligned to the Common Core State Standards 3.MD.4 and 4.MD.4. A student recording sheet, answer key, and one-page (6 question) quick assessment are included.
