Students will practice and maintain safety protocol for the classroom and for the job setting. Education and training will demonstrate how to work in a safe environment and how to avoid injury and/or illness.
2.1 Recognize safety risks and decrease any safety threats
2.2 Obey safety signs and symbols
2.3 Explore the roles and duties of a health care worker in the classroom, laboratory, and different workplace locations
2.4 Practice emergency procedures in different settings
2.5 Acquire certification in HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) through an on-line agency
2.6 Practice correct body mechanics
