Reading Comprehension Passages and Questions Bundle Non Fiction

This is great for independent work or homework and goes with every month.

I used this resource with my small reading group to build comprehension skills. I had them read with a partner so that I could walk around and listen to them read. Then they worked together to answer the questions and highlighted where they found the answers.

I love that I was able to purchase this bundle so all months are in one place! I love being able to use the themed passages for each month to engage my students with what they are reading.

I like using this as my weekly shared readings in the class, but the only con is that it is American based, so at times I find the information is not relevant to my Canadian students. But overall great.

I can’t say enough good things about this resource! Last year I used the seasonal passages as early-finisher work, and they were a perfect way to keep students engaged while still practicing comprehension. The topics are timely and fun, which kept the kids interested, and the questions pushed them to think critically. This year, I’m excited to take it even further by using the passages in our fluency practice. The length and level are just right for repeated readings, and the built-in comprehension questions make it easy to combine fluency with understanding. It’s such a versatile bundle—I feel like I’m getting multiple resources in one! Definitely one of those staples I’ll keep coming back to year after year.
