Review the metric system and the steps of the scientific method in this fun hands on gummy bear lab! The students measure the length, volume, and mass of their gummy bears before and after soaking them in water overnight and are amazed at how they change.

Needed materials: Metric rulers, graduated cylinders (50 mL work well), gram scales or triple beam balances, small plastic cups, gummy bears, paper towels, water, assorted liquids (for the extension activity)
