"This was a great review for the students at the beginning of the school year. It kept the students engaged, having to walk around the room to find the next measurement. "

Description
Practice reading a metric ruler to the nearest 0.1 cm. I created these for some struggling 6th graders who needed extended practice with reading a metric ruler. These colorful cards helped my students practice measuring in centimeters and millimeters so that they were ready to complete science labs using metric measurement. Task cards are a great way to turn a worksheet into an activity that gets kids up and moving around the room.
Reviews these concepts:
Centimeters
Millimeters
Metric Ruler
Accurate Measuring
Note: These are very "easy" for most of my 6th graders, and were created as a review for some struggling students. They are probably more appropriate for 4th or 5th grade!
These cards need to be printed in color to see all of the measurements.
Includes:
24 task cards
Student answer sheet
Teacher answer key
