Description
I have created brand new lessons to teach computer applications for a Digital Literacy or Computer Applications class. This lesson can be used in conjunction with my Digital Literacy Unit, or on it's own in any class where you are teaching basic Microsoft Office. These lessons are MICROSOFT SPECIFIC and are not designed for Google. They are not designed to prepare students for the MOS test as they are not comprehensive enough--they are instead aimed at beginners in 6-8th grade. But they can work in any grade. This lesson is a companion to my Information Processing Cycle, Digital Communications, and Digital Citizenship lessons, and designed to teach Strand 5 in the Digital Literacy class for my state. If you'd like to see what the strand includes, you can find it here.
This download includes the WORD LESSONS ONLY. If you would like the full unit, you can find it here. Each Word lesson includes a starter assignment, a key, written instructions, and a silent video key. The lessons are filmed in 2019, but will work fine in 2016, 2021, and 365.
Lesson 1 - Takes one 45 minute period. Students format a book report, using spellcheck, margins, page numbers, title page, alignment, styles, line spacing, table of contents, page breaks, text boxes, design colors, etc.
Lesson 2 - Takes one 45 minute period. Students format a recipe, suing hyperlinks, format painter, bullets, Numbering, columns, clipping tool, wrap text, end note, insert image, etc
Lesson 3 - Takes two 45 minute periods, and can be skipped if time is short. Students create a flyer, and learn Orientation, margins, WordArt, borders, columns, tables, SmartArt, custom bullets, Shapes, Tabs, Icons, Watermark, Remove background
All lessons are classroom tested!
