Description
Want to encourage CRITICAL THINKING? Supervisors LOVE this!
Standards for Mathematical Practice:
*Reason abstractly & quantitatively
*Construct viable arguments & critique the reasoning of others
*Attend to precision
Here are 7 pages of mistakes that actual students have made in solving math problems. After going into many math classrooms and seeing the same mistakes pop up, I created these Misconceptions documents for the teachers to use so that students can analyze the errors. Students identify mistakes and correctly complete the problems.
Some topics include: solving one and two step equations, plotting numbers on a number line, coordinate plane, renaming fractions as decimals, operations with integers, distributive property, and operations with fractions.
The teachers are using them as warm-ups. They have become such a hit, the principal has asked me to create them weekly. If you like these, try Set B in my other listing. If you'd like the bundle of Set A & B together, click here: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Middle-School-Math-Students-Fix-Math-MistakesErrors-Bundle
If you'd like the Word version of the file, just message me and I'll email it to you. Answer key is included.

Very helpful. Thank you.
Really helped the students critically think about math processes and justifications of work.
my students loved this
Wonderful product. Thank you so much it was a big help.
