Description
Mixed Numbers Parent Study Guide is a math resource designed for parents so that they can help their children with homework and help them study for tests. I often find parents want to help their children with math but they are often uncertain where to start. My students' parents have told me they find my parent study guides to be useful as they provide a refresher on skills they have not practiced in a while and show them exactly how I am teaching to solve problems in class. This Mixed Numbers Parent Study Guide will teach parents:
- important terms associated with mixed numbers
- converting mixed numbers into improper fractions
- converting improper fractions into mixed numbers
- adding and subtracting mixed numbers
- subtracting mixed numbers with borrowing
- adding and subtracting fractions with an uncommon denominator
Instructions are presented in written form and with visual examples.
