Module 3 Introduction and Guide Sheet
Share

Description

Due to the difficulty level and large gap that we found with our students having not had the engageny terminology and format prior to second grade, I chose my professional goal to be related to addressing this issue. The last thing I wanted each day was for the parents and the students to be frustrated when sitting down to do homework together. Unfortunately that was exactly what was happening each night. I also wanted the parents to be informed of the topics, fluency, terminology, terms and symbols, as well as tools and representations that they would be seeing over the course of each module. Therefore, I came up with a Module Guide Sheet that was sent home at the beginning of each module as an introduction, and that families could use at home to help with completing homework in a more manageable and understandable way. There is no need to reinvent the wheel, so please use this document and add to it as you see fit. These worked fantastic!

This is a great idea, but there were several mistakes on it that needed to be fixed. However, since it is a .docx, I was able to make the necessary changes before sending it home. Also, a lot of the words were just taken right from the engage ny module.
