Description
This product is designed to have students calculate change based on items they may buy. Each card has a cost for a good (some cards have multiple goods) and a cash amount. Students need to find how much change they should get back. You can take this one step further and have the students tell you the breakdown of bills and coins they should get back from the cashier as well. Amounts up to $100 are used.

How to Use Task Cards in the Classroom:
- Hand out a recording sheets.
- Give each student a card. I like to give them out in order.
- Give students a set amount of time to answer each question.
- Have students pass in order to the student next in line.
- Do this until all the cards have reached every student.
You can also use these in centers, or instead of passing the cards around, have a scavenger hunt where the cards are all around the room and students have to go around to each card.
