Year long math center or whole class activity to help you students master their math facts: addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division!
As a math instructor, one of the things I find frustrating for many of my students is the difficulty they have solving computation problems and/or multi-step problems because they have not spent the necessary time mastering their basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and/or division facts. This program is designed to provide your students with the time needed to practice those facts. In the program, the students will:
- be given a baseline assessment
- set goals for the quarter
- practice math facts
- take weekly 1-minute timed tests
- track their own progress throughout the quarter
Each student will work at his/her own level to progress through each set of facts. This program can be used as a weekly math center or as an independent time period once a week in your classroom. It is appropriate for grades 1 – 6.
