  • 4.OA.1 Multiplication Equations as Comparisons
  • Interpret a multiplication equation as a comparison, e.g., interpret 35 = 5 × 7 as a statement that 35 is 5 times as many as 7 and 7 times as many as 5. Represent verbal statements of multiplicative comparisons as multiplication equations.

Using the Multiplication Equations as Comparisons Task Cards

Math task cards are engaging, flexible, and effective ways to reinforce math skills. Here are some ways to use these math task cards.

✨ The task cards can be used in multiple ways – as part of math centers, for independent practice, as an early finisher activity, in small groups, or even as a whole class activity such as SCOOT or a gallery walk review.

✨ Students can work through the cards at their own pace, making them great for both quick learners who need more challenges and students who may need extra time to grasp a concept.

✨ Students can use the included answer keys to check their work immediately.

✨ Unlike traditional worksheets, task cards can be more interactive and engaging. They can be paired with game-like formats or used in scavenger hunts, adding a fun element to math practice.

About the Digital Math Task Cards

The digital task cards contain the exact same content as the printable task cards, but has been redesigned to work in Google Slides for a variety of devices. Each problem or task is presented on its own slide.

There are TWO versions of the digital task cards available. Determine which version works best for your students and their devices.

  • Version 1 – Digital w/ Text Boxes for Answers
  • Version 2 – Digital w/ Printable Recording Sheet

Note: If students are on a device without a touchscre6en, I recommend they use a separate sheet of paper or the printable recording sheets while they complete the digital version for added accountability.

These digital math task cards can be used for digital math centers, warmups, math review, guided math practice, problem of the day, and more.

For answer keys, please refer to the PDF.
