Description

I am on a mission to create math homework that is meaningful and helps my third graders understand the reasons why they need to learn and understand foundational math skills that they learn in third grade.

You can use this project as homework, enrichment, or even small group activities.

Each project includes a rationale, detailed student-friendly direction sheet, an example, and a rubric. to the rubric if you'd like. I've removed my school district's grading scale for you to add your own grading style.

Project Rationale:
Multiplication is all around us! When we bake cookies and put them on a cookie sheet, we arrange the cookies in an array. From the array, we can find out how many total cookies we’ve baked. When you’re having a group of friends over and want to buy each friend a box of candy, you can figure out how much total candy you need to buy.
