This was a great activity for students to understand how they will use volume/area. It also helps students understand on how to plan using their knowledge of area/volume and cost.

Students loved the fact that everyone's garden would look different according to what they chose. Since I have special ed inclusion, we took this very slowly and one step at a time, although my higher students were able to work more independently.
