This is a cross curricular project for math and writing. The students have to make a booklet of multiplication word problems. Students have to cut a picture out of a magazine, write a word problem, write an equation, and solve the problem.
Included are the student directions and a rubric I use to grade the project.

My third grade students enjoyed doing this project and it helped them understand word problems after they wrote some.
