Students will work to investigate the structure and function of three different types of neurons. They will create a pamphlet with labeled sketches and descriptions of the 3 primary types of neurons. This assignment can easily be scaled up to a poster or kept at a 1-2 class period assignment.

Students can complete this in their journal/notebook, on a poster, or as a virtual assignment for students that are online learners.

Differentiation can be easily incorporated as students can work individually, in pairs, or extended for GT students in include 3D models.
