Description

Math New Year's resolutions combine with coloring to help students review some 5th grade math skills!

  • Use the print or digital mixed math review in this New Year color by number activity to help students review skills and to encourage them to create math resolutions for the new year:-)

In this new year's math review activity, students solve 20 problems, find the solution number on the coloring section, and color with the color indicated. When they finish, students can add their math resolutions to the page:-)

  • Check out the video preview to see how the digital version works.

⭐️ Don't need digital? Check out the print only version.

Problems require students to:

  • Multiply whole numbers
  • Divide whole numbers
  • Compare decimals
  • Subtract decimal numbers
  • Add decimal numbers
  • Multiply decimal numbers
  • Divide decimal numbers
  • Multiply fraction by whole number
  • Multiply fraction by fraction
  • Add fractions
  • Evaluate expressions/OOO
  • Find area (multiply fraction & mixed #)
  • Find missing exponent

This easy-prep New Year's 5th grade math review resource includes:

One print version

  • Problem sheet with 20 questions
  • Coloring sheet

One digital version in Slides (could also be downloaded and used in PowerPoint):

  • Same problems and similar coloring as print version
  • Students type their answers in the answer box
  • Students select the shapes and use the ‘Fill color’ bucket to color them
  • Questions are not editable (they are in the background) but the shapes and numbers in the pattern ARE movable.

A coloring page with no numbers, so students can color the pattern their own way, for fun:-)

I used this with middle school resource Math class to review math concepts and see what I still needed to teach as precursor skills to seventh grade curriculum. Students enjoyed it. They could choose if they colored on paper or used it online. Nice resource!
