These nonfiction text feature reading poster anchor charts are an appealing, way for your students to reference and review text features with an interactive bulletin board.

Five high-interest nonfiction science texts are included in 18 x 24 poster size to annotate using text feature cards.

This Bulletin Board Kit includes:

  • Large Titles (Text Features) with Text Feature Background
  • Subheadings: Graphic Features, Print Features, and Organizational Features
  • 19 Text Features Cards in 3 sizes for options depending on the size of your bulletin board -
    • Print Features: Title, Heading/subheading, caption, label, side bar/ text box, bold print, italics, bullets
    • Graphic Features: Photograph, diagram, illustration, inset, map, graph, chart/table, timeline
    • Organizational Features: Glossary, Index, Table of Context

  • Five 18 x 24 inch nonfiction articles that can be used to label features on a large scale. You can make it 3-dimensional by using yarn or pipe cleaners to label each feature (see an example in the preview).
  • Two versions of each text feature card - a full version with an image/example of each feature, and a version without an image, to label large articles of any kind!
  • A notebook version that organizes each category of features on a page for your students to reference
