This standards-based, comprehensive review of the text features is the perfect to engage students while reviewing! Multiple sorts and activities in this resource include print features, graphic features, and organizational features. Students can interact with identifying text features, describing them, and identifying their functions.

Sorts and activities include a combination of images and written descriptions to provide multiple ways for students to interact with academic vocabulary.

  • When you download the PDF upon purchase, you can click the force copy link to access the digital sorts in Google Slides
  • Each sort is on a separate slide (20 slides total)
  • Students can drag and drop into the tables
  • Must have Google Drive™ to access but can assign across multiple platforms (Google Classroom™, Canvas, Seesaw, etc)

Printable Version

  • Legal size (could be printed on legal or letter paper)
  • Instructions included for creating tri-fold to organize the sort easily
  • Full graphic organizer for use in notebooks as a support for student learning
  • Use in tutoring, small group, whole group, or remedial instruction

  • Can pick and choose which slides to assign to students
  • Each sort is on a separate slide
  • Drag and drop moveable pieces (which students cannot accidentally delete or resize)

I love the digital format. I would push it out during independent work on google classroom and they would do it on their own, check with a partner and the next day we would review it as a class as a warm up!
