Students will add together decimals to find the cost of a series of items. Students will subtract decimals to determine change. Students will multiply decimals to find the weight of an object, and students will divide decimals to find the amount of each item that each person should receive. And that’s just a few examples.
This Thanksgiving decimals math activity asks students to

- Use logic and reason
- Compute tax
- Determine range

This activity would be great for math centers, as pair work, for use by a sub, or even in small groups. There are 10 cards in the set, and each card features two to three questions so students get a full mental workout. Use the supplied work pages if desired.
