Description

Are you tired of guessing why the units and lessons are in the order they are in Open Up Resources/IM K-12 Math™?

This resource organizes all of the concepts across the grade level in a concise, visual way to help you make sense of the path for grade level understanding in the context of previous learning! With this resource, you can see how concepts your students learned in the past relate to the grade level concepts AND how the concepts build on each other across each unit.

* This resource only includes Unit 1 - 8 as Unit 9 is a culminating unit that doesn’t include any new grade level learning. *

FEATURES:

  • Each unit is represented on 1 page.
  • On each page, there is a column for previous learning and a column for grade level learnings.
  • Each concept is represented by both a representation of the learning as well as a short statement of the goal of student learning.
  • The information in this resource is built directly from the curriculum resources - We did all the hard work of figuring out the what and why, then organized it for you!

GREAT FOR:

  • Individual Teachers: Use this to help you plan your units!
  • Math PLCs/Teams: Use this to help you make sense of what students should be doing!
  • Instructional Coaches & Principals: Use this as a cheat sheet to help you with observations and feedback!
  • Specialists & District Leaders: Use this to help plan the professional development for the year!

This resource is based on the IM K-12 Math™ authored by Illustrative Mathematics® and offered under a CC BY 4.0 License.
