Description

One Digit Addition Bingo is a fun bingo game that you can play with your students to help them practice addition. It is a great tool for math fluency and for mastery math facts. It is the traditional Bingo game but with one digit addition sentences.

Students will first create their own Bingo card by cutting and pasting the addition sentences of their choice. Once their card has been created, you can call out the sums. Students will have to determine the sum of each addition sentence. If the sum matches what you say, then whey will cover it up with a counter.

Note: Because this game involves adding single digits, nearly all of the sums repeat! So when you are calling out the sums, your students might cover up two spots depending on how they constructed their cards. This will make the game go a bit more quickly and may also result in multiple students calling Bingo at one time. If you are okay playing this way, then go for it! If you don’t like this, you can call out the sum and then ask for the specific number sentence. For example you might say, “The sum is 13 and the addition sentence is 5+8.” In this way, your students can only cover up the problem that says 5+8 but not 7+6.

This bingo game includes:

►Bingo Card Template

►Bingo Card Pieces

►Bingo Call-out Sheet

►Bingo Call-out Cards

The format of all of my Bingo games is pretty much the same. If you need to see a video of my Bingo games in action, click HERE. Although the link brings you to a different Bingo version, you'll be able to get a better understanding of how your students will assemble their cards and how you will call out the pieces.
