"Pages are already set up to put in an interactive notebook. Uses the wordage of inequality properties for the operations."

Description

This resource includes five half pages of one-step equation guided notes. The interactive notes focus on using the properties of equality to solve equations. A half sheet for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are provided.

On each page, students are given the opportunity to solve and explain how they would determine the value of the variable using their own method. Each brief page of notes includes 3-4 problems to solve for each operation. Students can be encouraged to use a colored pencil to highlight the number being added/subtracted/multiplied or divided to each side of the equation. By doing this, students will see the equation remains balanced and the variable is isolated. There is also one page that explores fractional coefficients.
