It was challenging for my students and kept them engaged. We found an issue with one of the answers though. The answer to the crossword puzzle was supposed to be 5614, however the one answer was incorrect. (-19/6 is actually -3 1/6 -- the "key" had it as -2 1/6 so using the -2 changed the last two digits for the code). The correct code should have been 5664.

Hi, I looked over the problem and I believe everything is correct.

The first problem is 7/9 + -3/6 which equals 5/18

The layout of the crossword puzzle gives the second problem: -8/9 1 5/18 which equals -2 1/16 ×

This makes the third problem -4.5 × 2.6 which equals -11.7

So the first three numbers of the code is 561 by idenifying the grayed out boxes.

If you believe I have made a mistake somwhere please email me at digitalescaperooms2@gmail.com and let me know.

Thanks!

This was an amazing resource. My kids like the Escape room format and this one is a good one. Some of it was a bit challenging which was great for my higher kids. The lower kids had a hard time with it. A lower skill level would have been helpful, however I was able to differentiate to my low level kids by giving them hints for the really hard puzzles. Great resource, thanks for creating!
