Whether you love it or hate it, writing can be difficult to teach. This 20-page download includes pre-assessments to gauge current writing skill and knowledge of common writing vocabulary, as well as a vocabulary handout with definitions, and several practice worksheets. Includes full-page answer keys.

This NO PREP download is ready to print-and-go!

Students will identify and sequence the following steps:
1) decoding the prompt,
2) using prewriting activities to generate ideas,
3) creating a draft with organized ideas and supporting details,
4) revising writing for clarity and fluency,
5) editing writing for accuracy, and
6) publishing writing that is attractive and easy-to-read.

Activities include:
- Writing Pre-Assessment,

- Steps of the writing process practice worksheet,
- Introduction to Paragraph Writing worksheet (for use with companion product Paragraph Writing Introduction: PowerPoint),

In order for this to be effective, you need to also have the power point presentation (which is very good) that goes along with it. I think they need to be sold together.
